Time-dependent strain-tuned topological magnon phase transition

Collinear magnets in honeycomb lattices under the action of time-dependent strains are investigated. Given limits high-frequency periodically varying deformations, we derive an effective Floquet theory for spin systems that results emergence a chirality. We find coupling between magnons and chirality depends on details strain such as spatial dependence applied direction. Magnonic fluctuations about ferromagnetic state determined, it is found spatially homogeneous drive magnon system into topologically protected phases. In particular, show certain uniform fields play role out-of-plane nearest-neighbor Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. Furthermore, explore application nonuniform strains, which lead to confinement states uniaxial propagates along direction preserves translational symmetry. Our work demonstrates direct way manipulate spectrum based engineering relevant exploring topological transitions quantum magnonics.
